We also sell and install new units: ABC dry chemical for general occupancies, CO2 for electrical equipment, Class K for kitchens, and larger-capacity units for industrial floors. Every serviced extinguisher leaves with a dated tag.
Kitchen Hood Suppression Systems
Wet chemical hood systems over commercial cooking lines are due for service every six months. A visit covers the fusible links, nozzles and blow-off caps, the manual pull, the automatic gas shutoff, and the cylinder, and ends with a new service tag on the system. If the cooking line under the hood has changed since the system was installed, the nozzle layout usually has to change with it — we check that on every visit rather than assuming the original design still matches.
Fire Sprinkler Systems
We inspect commercial sprinkler systems to NFPA 25 at the quarterly, annual, and five-year intervals, and handle repairs, head replacement, and gauge changes. Storage occupancies deserve particular attention: racking changes and higher piling in a warehouse can put the stored commodity out of step with what the sprinkler system was designed to protect. We flag that when we see it.
Exit and Emergency Lighting
Exit signs and emergency lights must hold for 90 minutes on battery. We run the tests, replace batteries and lamps, swap out failed fixtures, and provide the annual certification paperwork. A dead battery in an exit sign is a small fix and a common citation — cheaper to catch on a service visit than on a fire inspection.
Backflow Preventers
Backflow assemblies on fire lines and commercial water services are tested annually. We test, repair, and replace them and submit the test reports to the City of Benicia, which runs the local water system.
Fire Extinguisher Training
We run hands-on extinguisher training for employees: how to size up a fire, when to fight it and when to leave, and live practice with the pull-aim-squeeze-sweep technique. Training sessions are held at your site and scale from a small storefront crew to an industrial shift.
